Sharing Optical Drive - Can't Install Program

I have a new Toshiba laptop running Windows 7. It does not have a DVD drive, so I am sharing the optical drive on my Vista computer to install programs on the new laptop.

I have done this successfully with all but one program. When I try to install this particular program via the shared optical drive, I get a message "No CD/DVD-ROM drive found. Please have a look at ww.securon.com/message.......for further, more detailed information." When I went to that link, it didn't offer anything to remedy my situation.

    Any ideas?

I'm trying to install a Scrabble game.

To share the drive, on the computer with the optical drive I went into My Computer, right clicked on drive with program, chose properties, went to sharing tab, checked the Share This Folder on the network box, and hit OK. THen went to laptop computer with no DVD drive, went to My Computer, "add network location", and chose the drive on the other computer with the program in the DVD. COmpleted Wizard and double clicked the program set up file. Worked with other programs just fine, including Word, Excel, my transcription program, etc.

I have Vista on the computer with the DVD, and my laptop has Windows 7. However, this didn't make a difference with the other programs. ???

    Thanks for your input!
