Wireless connection Doesn't have a valid IP configuration (WIN7)

Last week my wireless connection won't work, it have been working fine until then. I use to connect to a public WiFi connection on either the university or the local library, never had any problems until now. I am sure the connection on these places are 100% working so it's something local on the laptop I have.

I also want to point at I am not using a router so I cannot restart it.

What I have tested/done so far:

* Restared computer (several times)
* Deactivated/activated the wireless network adaptor
* Pressed the button for turning on/off the wireless adaptor
* Installed latest drivers for my adaptor (Intel Wifi Link 1000 bpn)
* Tested using some older drivers for my adaptor
* Runned the commands "ipconfig /release", "ipconfig /renew" and "ipconfig /flushdns"
* Made sure the IPv4 and DNS settings are set to automatic receiving IP/DNS-address
* Deactivated windows firewall, Comodo firewall, Avast Home antivirus (though I was able to connect with those three activated)
* Tested connecting at both the library's and university's WiFi connection
* Runned as admin netsh winsock reset in cmd.
* Also tried putting in some random ip-addresses in the TCPIPv4 settings.

Nothing of these made any change to the message about faulty ip-configuration. I am sure this can be repaired without having to reinstall Windows 7 or without going back to a previous restore point, but the question is how. Since I apparently see networks it's nothing wrong with the hardware, or is it?

Any help appreciated
