    Suddenly no connections are available

    Hello,
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate on my desktop PC and my wireless device is Realtek 8180 Extensible 802.11b Wireless Device (at least that's what it says on the device manager).

Everything was working fine until I updated my windows. It updated some windows updates and also some drivers. After restarting my computer, I can't see any wireless networks (although all the other computers at home can see the other wireless networks). I tried to restore to a time before my backup, but it didn't work. I was also unable to rollback the driver (it appears gray). I also tried to flush the dns, but so far nothing worked.

I might just add that on the device manager I have two unrecognized devices (multimedia audio controller and PCI Input device), but the sound is working properly.

The thing that bothers me the most that it USED TO WORK! and system restore doesn't help!

Could anyone suggest me what to do?

    Thanks!
    Tom

This Technet thread talks about this problem and shows various solutions that have worked for others. It's hard to say which solution might work in your case.
