    Ethernet in ethernet out

I at present connect to the web via a usb wifi dongle and signal is not to bad
    Now heres my question
I have on my pc mother board a built in ethernet card
Via Rhine II as an add on some time ago i put in a Realtek PCI GBE card it was my intention to use this as a ethernet wifi access through a Linskys WG54G but its now not used
Would it be possible to have a wifi connection though one card and an out put through the other with out effecting the running of my pc
Have i explained my self sufficiently ?

To be honest I don't know but I would think you can't connect with both at the same time, if you did the connection through Ethernet you would turn off the wireless point, but if you connect via wireless you don't need the Ethernet connection working at the same time.

One of the experts will be able to give you all the answers you need but if you could, would you post back giving them all the details about your set up, make model of the cards in question what type of computer is it laptop or desktop and who is your ISP, plus do you have a router and if so what make and model is it.:)

It will make it so much quicker and easier for them to help you if they have all the details, don't forget they can't see your machine so don't know what you are working with, thank you and welcome to the forums :)
