I installed Windows 7 on three different PC's for three different people. Network connectivity tested with Microsoft updates at my job and another at my house using comcast. However, when the users take the PC's home to their house and try to access the Internet, they report no network connectivity and the "Diagnose Connections Problem" link does not resolve the problem. If the users uninstall the network adapter and reboot, Internet is activated but it only lasts as long as the PC is left on. If they reboot, they have to uninstall the adapter again and reboot again.
