    Problem with my Internet Connection


    I have this weird problem with my internet connection
    every time I make a download or open some "heavy" site like youtube my connection breaks and the icon in the task bar becomes limited and I can't even communicate with any PC in my network, but when I restart the connection (by unplugging the cable and plugging it in again or restarting the pc) the connection works again.

    first I thought of the cable so I checked it with a tester and it was OK.

    now I'm confused between the LAN card and the router!!

    so what might it be?

    Either of those could be the problem but I would start by updating the firmware on the router which has been known to fix this type of problem.

    To see if the router is the problem, bypass it and connect directly to the Cable or DSL modem. If the problem doesn't happen then the router is the cause. Otherwise it something in your PC.
