    Connected to VPN, loose internet

I used the wizard in Windows 7 to setup a VPN to my Windows Home Server. It almost works perfectly except for the fact that when I connect to the VPN, I can no longer connect to the internet. I saw a couple of threads that told me to go to the VPN properties -> Networking tab -> IPv4 -> properties -> advanced and uncheck the default gateway on remote network. I did that, still nothing. Then I saw you need to put the default gateway under the WINS tab. That sort of worked by letting me stay connected to the VPN and get on the internet, but then I could not access folders on my VPN. So what I am doing now is turning the VPN off to browse internet, then back on when I need to connect to the VPN. Anybody have any different suggestions that I might be able to connect to both at the same time?

    Thanks in advance

I found similar complaints after googling around a bit.

Sounds like you need to disable the option Use default gateway on remote network. You can find this by clicking the Advanced button in the properties page of Internet Protocol Version 4 (or 6) of your VPN connection.
