Windows 7: Homegroup sharing - desktop

Homegroup sharing - desktop

We have a 2-computer homegroup (both are laptops using Windows 7) and can access each others' files with no problem. I assumed, however, that we would be able to see one another's desktop. That doesn't seem to be possible.
Am I missing something (I'm a computer novice).

File sharing and RDC "Remote Desktop Connection" are two different things.

For RDC you need to set it up first. The tutorial below shows you how.

Sometimes it's easier to set it up using team viewer.
