No Driver for Network Adapter? I was running my computer on Windows XP and it more or less crashed on me so I decided it was time to upgrade to Windows 7.
I did a custom load and everything and it is loading fine for the most part but I cant seem to get an internet connection. I'm using a LAN and the same ether net cord plugged into the same outlet gives my laptop connection no problem but nothing for the desktop.
I tried everything I can think of but with no internet connection how am I supposed to get the drivers I need?
If anyone may have a solution to my problem I would be in your debt. | My System Specs |

Welcome to SF, Exemer! You will need to provide a specific name/model to go along with Alienware.
You will need to download the driver from another computer, save it to CD/DVD or usb device, and load it from there. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell and Custom OS Systems 1 and 2: Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Win 8 Developer CPU System 1: i7 2600@3.4GHz, System 2: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6G Motherboard System 1:Dell 06NWYK System 2: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Memory System 1: 8GB System 2: 8GB Graphics Card System 1: ATI FirePro V4800 System 2: Radeon HD 6850 Sound Card System 1: onboard System 2: onboard Monitor(s) Displays System1: Viewsonic HDMI 24" Screen Resolution System 1: 1920x1080 System 2: 1920x1080 Case System 1: Dell System 2: Cooler Master Hard Drives System 1: Mirrored .5B drives System 2: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internet Speed 10 MBPS |

It is one of the Aurora series, can't recall exactly what model.
Any idea what driver I will need and where to get it? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number AlienWare Aurora 3500-R4 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5000+ (2 CPUs) Memory 2048 MB RAM Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Sound Card Digital Audio (S/PDIF) Monitor(s) Displays Generic PnP Monitor 17" AOpen Hard Drives ST325082 4AS SCSI Disk Device |

Make a copy of $msnfo32.nfo, zip it, and attach it here.
**EDIT** You should also be able to look at the back of your computer and see the model. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell and Custom OS Systems 1 and 2: Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Win 8 Developer CPU System 1: i7 2600@3.4GHz, System 2: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6G Motherboard System 1:Dell 06NWYK System 2: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Memory System 1: 8GB System 2: 8GB Graphics Card System 1: ATI FirePro V4800 System 2: Radeon HD 6850 Sound Card System 1: onboard System 2: onboard Monitor(s) Displays System1: Viewsonic HDMI 24" Screen Resolution System 1: 1920x1080 System 2: 1920x1080 Case System 1: Dell System 2: Cooler Master Hard Drives System 1: Mirrored .5B drives System 2: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internet Speed 10 MBPS |

I found the model, it's an Aurora 3500-R4 but, I can't figure out where this $msnfo32.nfo file is at.
***Edit*** Maybe is is it?

***Edit*** Maybe is is it? Sorry, but the file ends in nfo, not exe.
You could also run SIW for hardware information: SIW Freeware - free software download and software review - system information tool from SnapFiles | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell and Custom OS Systems 1 and 2: Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Win 8 Developer CPU System 1: i7 2600@3.4GHz, System 2: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6G Motherboard System 1:Dell 06NWYK System 2: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Memory System 1: 8GB System 2: 8GB Graphics Card System 1: ATI FirePro V4800 System 2: Radeon HD 6850 Sound Card System 1: onboard System 2: onboard Monitor(s) Displays System1: Viewsonic HDMI 24" Screen Resolution System 1: 1920x1080 System 2: 1920x1080 Case System 1: Dell System 2: Cooler Master Hard Drives System 1: Mirrored .5B drives System 2: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internet Speed 10 MBPS |

Wouldn't happen to have a service number tag on the computer somewhere would it? If so you can go here, Dell - Drivers and Downloads
enter the service tag number and find out what is in it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Win 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Phenom II x4 955 @ 4 GHz. Good grief. I went to Alienware's site, and the download page does NOT list by model. This is the strangest thing. Alienware : The Ultimate Gaming Machine
I forgot, they are sold by Dell. Thanks, Stormy. And, as Stormy indicated, we need a service tag #. http://support.dell.com/support/down...=19&l=en&s=dhs | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell and Custom OS Systems 1 and 2: Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Win 8 Developer CPU System 1: i7 2600@3.4GHz, System 2: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6G Motherboard System 1:Dell 06NWYK System 2: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Memory System 1: 8GB System 2: 8GB Graphics Card System 1: ATI FirePro V4800 System 2: Radeon HD 6850 Sound Card System 1: onboard System 2: onboard Monitor(s) Displays System1: Viewsonic HDMI 24" Screen Resolution System 1: 1920x1080 System 2: 1920x1080 Case System 1: Dell System 2: Cooler Master Hard Drives System 1: Mirrored .5B drives System 2: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internet Speed 10 MBPS |
