My situation is unlike most internet situations. To begin with, my primary source for the web is to connect my cell phone to my computer. Also, my laptop uses WI-FI and i would hate to hook it up in order to tether the internet to it. I;m using a linksys WRT54GS for the source of the WI-FI, so i don't have to tether directly to a wire. Somewhere there is an issue with the laptop (using the WI-FI) not connecting to the PC (the host computer) I'm probaqbly not making much sence so i'll make a little chart. - PC -->CAT5 cable-->Linksys router-->WI-FI--> laptop. Since my cell phone connects to my PC as A usb, there is no way i could directly connect it to a router. somewhere along there the web is not connecting my laptop. There are 2 slots where the CAT5 cable goes into the router. Should i put the CAT5 from the PC into the internet slot, or one of the other 4 slots, since the PC is supplying the internet? I am running CA security center and i have disabled that firewall, but not the Windows firewall. Soooo... if there any suggestions you have about making this work, please don't hesitate to reply, thanks
