Delete Old Network Adapters/SSID Names
I have a minor problem that bothers me. I am running Windows 7 Professional. The name of my wireless network is "dd-wrt," but when I am connected it says I am connected to "dd-wrt 2." Obviously, the computer remembers connecting to dd-wrt in the past, but something has changed since then (maybe the password?), so it has had to name the new connection "dd-wrt 2." I can't find where I can get rid of the original dd-wrt, so it will not let me rename the "dd-wrt 2" to just "dd-wrt"
Also, I have a similar problem with my network connection. In the network connections list, it lists my Ethernet connection, bluetooth connection, and wireless connection 3. If I try to rename the "wireless connection 3" to just wireless connection, it says it cannot be renamed because that name already exist. This connection is not listed anywhere I can find, even when doing a search. How can I find the "Wireless Connection" and "Wireless Connection 2" so I can delete them and rename my "Wireless Connection 3?"
Thanks!
