Realtek Network driver update help plz

    hi guys,
this is my first time here and im am still learning about computer so plz bare with me.

i have been trying to update my realtek network driver but when i do after i restart the pc my network adapter is gone in device manger. i have to keep restarting my pc to get it to work?

i have now had to reinstall windows 7 and use the network driver that came with my motherboard, but it takes ages to conect when i start the pc and i keep getting updates saying my network driver is out of date?

can anyone please tell me which realtek network driver to use. the last time i tried the update was back in feb this year and that was the one that didn`t work.

Ok, first off when you want to update the REALTEK DRIVER if you read it carfully as you are installing the new driver it will uninstall the old one first, then you have to run through the set up again to install the new driver, once it has restarted that is.

    hi,

that update on the asus web site is really old and its a beta 2 one.

can you tell me which one of these to download please and if they are the right ones. the one i have at the moment is Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) which is the one that came with my motherboard.

thanks guys, i`ll try the one on the realtek website coz the other one is over a year old aswell.

im just abit worried about trying it coz the last time i did it would not let me roll back and i had to get a new motherboard. but thats because i thought there was something wrong with the onboard network adapter on the motherboard. if it is the wrong one and the network adapter gets lost again and it will not roll back will a fresh install of windows 7 sort it out?
