Windows 7: Win 2K to Win 7 can't connect

I am unsuccessful in connecting my Win 2k pro system to my Win 7 system through my home network.



The W2K sees the Windows 7 machine, but when I try to connect it to any shared files/folders/drives, on the Windows 7 system, I get the failure: you don't have sufficient rights.

On the other hand, the Windows 7 system sees the W2K and can connect and push/pull anything, including accessing drives, on the W2K system that is shared.

Both machines are set to the same workgroup. I am using the admin account on both machines.

W2K sees Windows 7, but Windows 7 won't let it connect.

I found someone with almost the identical problem....it has been solved like this:

I just realize you have Windows 7 Home Premium...so gpedit.msc might not be available to you.
In that case you can try this:

I'm printing your instructions right now.

I'm used to working with servers or at least "pro" versions of windows or linux. So this "home edition" of Windows 7 seems really lacking in what I can do with rights.

I even tried given full rights to "everyone" & "guest." You'd think that'd do it since all the computers are on the same network--but no--so what good is "everyone" and a "guest" account? I suppose it's just for show or no-show for that matter. Or as MS would say, it's a "feature."
