    Network Printing Problem

I am new to Windows 7, and am unable as yet to get my documents to print from any program. I have installed multiple printers (different manufacturers) in an attempt to find something compatible, but I believe my problem to be tied to the network.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit, with Office 2007. I have installed a Xerox Phaser 6360 DN printer via the network at work. The printer is connected, as I can open the properties and see that the yellow toner is low. Newest/compatible driver from Xerox website is installed; yet whenever I send a document (or test page) to the printer, in the status window after a few minutes the status changes from "Printing" to "Error - Printing". And thats the end. No errors pop up, when I download and run the printer fix via windows, it tells me that a document is stuck in the que. Not helpful.
    Thoughts?

    Hi,

could it be that he needs sufficient inkt before it is able to continue printing?
i had phasers that wouldn't print because of that issue "low inkt"

uninstall the drivers via hardware settings and shutdown then reboot.
take the original printer drivers for win7-64bit to start with.

Another possibility is that Op has not selected the Phaser to be their default printer.

Hi and thanks to all who have so far posted.
I have the correct driver installed, and have confirmed this with support from Xerox (in fact the problem exists with any printer not directly connected to my laptop, regardless of manufacturer). The issue of insufficient ink is not the problem, from another non windows 7 terminal it prints no problems. I have tried using the phaser as my default and not as the default printer, then selecting it from the drop down list.
The Support person from Xerox made the comment that it might be that my antivirus program (McAfee, factory installed from Dell) might be interfering with the printing. His suggestion was to uninstall McAfee and then install the printer, then reinstall the AV program. I do not have the install disc for this, though, and simply turning off the firewall on my computer temporarily didn't fix things at all. New ideas?
    Thanks again!

Try the latest driver, Xerox Mobile Express driver (from the Xerox website). It's worked for me.
