I supposedly have 8mbit. I've never downloaded at 1MB/sec, and I rarely get 200KB/s... when I do, I jump for joy and shout "KAWAII!" ... us poor Australians. =(

I'm downloading several torrents right now.

    I hate this thread....

I wouldn't have checked if it wasn't for this...

    I can't get over 1100 Kb/s....

I'm payin' for "up to" 6Mb/s with my AT&T DSL....

    Friggin' a....Options anyone?
They say up to - because there are a lot of other factors involved external to their ability to provide you with service - things like your distance to a Point of Presence, the number of digital to analog converters in your path, the quality of the lines, signal to noise ratio, etc.

These are the things they won't tell you at all, and yet they are the most prohibitive part of your connection....

i can say we can all agree that with most benchmarks here (show us your wei and the reboot time are examples....) that they are volatile and can change.

    Kolohe - 2 things:

At speed test, you get the option to copy the 'forum code' - is you copy that and paste it here it will show up correctly, rendered correctly and all.

Secondly - see How to use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums for how to *effectively* use the snipping tool.

For example, your pic is rendered oddly, and looks blurry *and* compressed horizontally.....
