    Abnormal for Comcast or NOT?

I live in Pennsylvania, SE portion that is. I have had classes with people from Delaware and Maryland and they all say they dont even get a fifth of the speed I got. This is just basic comcast xfinity internet/cable.

    NORMAL or NOT?

I'm not sure how the cable feeds to the 'outside box' but the box im on I think, is on the same box the hotel is thats right by my house. That could have to do with it. Maybe newer cable lines, although i hear the house I'm staying at was built in the 80s

    JBS,
That could be a very good reason why have good speeds.

Great speed. This is one case when I wouldn't worry about abnormal! lol

I live in a smaller town and get way faster internet and way cheaper price tag. I was paying nearly $60 for only 1.5mb dsl. Now only paying $45 for 16mb cable. Speed is showing a lil slow because my wife was watching netflix when I tested.

2 Mb/s download (I get 256 KB/s at the most) and then only about .15 Mb/s upload (I get about 20 KB/s at the most).
Terrible, I know. But it's a choice between this and dial-up, where I am at.

Still getting the same speed here, but had some good news. The 80/20 trial has now finished, but my ISP Plusnet has just released it's new line up of products. Turns out the new proper version of the 80/20 works out a couple of £ cheaper per month than the original 40/2 service I was paying for, but the best bit is they have also upped the monthly allowance from 120gb to 250gb

Total cost for the 80/20 with 250gb, line rental and unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines is £37.98 per month, which I think is ok.
