HOLY CRAP you guys are pushing the limits.

I'm having some wireless issues I need to work out. I average triple the speeds on my laptop, and quadruple them wired. I just need to invest in some cable.

I just checked the speed with my desktop and this is what I got.
It's much slower (still at advertised speeds, 50/20) on my netbook.

Could the increase be due to a wired connection instead of wireless?

230 DL! Blows mine out of the water:

Don't know what's up with the UL tonight, it's usually around the 70 mark.

Wow, some of you guys have insane speeds, personally I use broadband cable and pay $29 a month.
My area also has fiber optic, Fios, but with the cost at $70 a month for 15/5 speeds it is not worth it.

I just threw my computer back together (got tired of staring at my netbook).
What a difference three 22" displays make (waiting for Antec to release their new case)

So after that I checked my speeds and that's where they are. The netbook is still at advertised speeds. I checked it through-out the day with little to no change. That's not to say tomorrow will be different.

Do you have Comcast Internet Service? Or were you just using their speedtest for this particular test?
