    Win 7 Cannot Connect To Xp After Restrat


    Dear All,

    i need some help, XP not use simple sharing, but I cannot open network with xp. it's come username and password.

    before I can connect to xp comp using xp windows logon password, but after restart PC this password cannot use anymore, user password always coming. XP can open win 7 PC. win 7 pc can remote desktop to wix XP, but I don't not understand why open the sharing folder.

    please can you tell me how to fix it.

    Try this adjustment on the XP machine.

    Try this adjustment on the XP machine. This usually works to get rid of the password prompt.

    Goto... Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > Security Options

    Scroll down to... Network Access: Sharing and security model for local accounts

    Select... Guest only and not Classic.
