Internet connection has stopped working!!
Hi All
I just got a brand new machine with Windows 7 on it. I installed a brand new, windows 7 compatible, sitecom WL-608 wireless adapter and via my Sitecom 300N wireless router I got onto the internet without any problem. I loaded up World of Warcraft and played away happily for about 3 hours on the HDTV.
Then I moved the computer over to the monitor and hooked it up and all my problems started, the adapter would not connect to the internet at all.
I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and it worked but at unbelievably slow speeds, worse than dial up, I read all the posts here about that particular adapter and nothing really applied but I went to sitecom and downloaded the newest driver but gives me the same problem, sometimes it connects at normal speed for about 10 minutes then drops the connection altogether.
Running the diagnostics over and over doesnt give any solution bar telling me to unplug the router, I have tried different usb ports, I have good signal but it just wont work any more.
I have tried running the driver installation .exe as vista and xp with the same results, I just dont know how it could have worked perfectly for 3 hours and now it wont work at all!!
Windows applied an update in between moving from the TV to where I have the monitor but I presume that shouldn't have any impact.
Any ideas? If I need to post a report or something please let me - if possible with instructions as to how to do it!
