Cannot Connect Internet Through Wifi

Anybody there can help me out? I cant connect to the internet through wifi at home but i can connect it through a cable at home and wifi in my school. What is wrong and what should i do?

Can any other wireless device's pick up signal were you live?

@ ZigZag : My comp specs are Compaq presario 115AU, AMD Turion X2 64-bit, 3GB RAM running on w7 ulti. Anything else you need to know? and i dont know what is network setup. Sorry im lousy in comp stuffs.

@ Zeplash : Yes, my sisters laptop and previously this particular laptop before i upgraded it to w7. It was previously vista.

Normally I would suggest going to your Computer manufacturer's support website and download the most recent driver for your wireless adapter, this is still a good idea, but since your wireless seems to work well elsewhere, except at home, you should probably check with the manufacturer of your wireless router and see if they have a firmware update that might help. Check specifically for your mfg. model name, model number and Rev.# and make sure you read any associated instructions carefully as a bad firmware flash can potentially damage your router.

hey pat, i tried finding several firmware update for my router but all seems to fail to update. Can you suggest any website where i can find update for my riger db108-wl router?
