My Network Places in Win 7

Seems like I remember on Win XP there was a Start menu item called "My Network Places." Win 7 doesn't have it there. Does it exist and where if it does?

    Thank you.

    Hello Jsquareg,

The tutorial below can help show you how to create a shortcut to help make opening "Network Connections" / "My Network Places" easier to do in Windows 7.

    Network Connections - Create Shortcut

    or

    Network Folder Shortcut - Create

If this is not the right location, then please see the "Related tutorials" section at the bottom of the link above to see if one of them may be it.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Hi, another way to show your network connections is to customize your Start Menu.

Right-click on start menu >> Properties >> Start Menu Tab >> Check the box to display your Network on the start menu.

or probably quicker, open up window explorer and just drag the Network icon to your desktop and move it where you want to, e.g., drag it to your taskbar to pin it there
