    Video Streaming to Xbox 360...

I used the video streaming feature on the Xbox 360 on a daily basis.

In Windows Media Player 12 (WMP12) i'm having a difficult time at it.

    Select Stream>Allow Xbox 360. Done.

Right click both music and video and point the directores where to look.

The music shows up on my Xbox 360 flawlessly. No issues there. The folder I directed WMP12 to stream, works.

Video, on the other hand... not so much.

Just keeps showing up as "recorded tv"... the folder I am pointing it to, isn't showing up. The only way I can stream video to my 360 on 7 is to use the Media Center feature. I'd rather not do that, because it's much easier to use the normal video streaming.

    BTW, video streaming is WMV-HD.

Anyone else run into these issues or know how to fix them?

    Similar Issue

I'm experiencing a similiar issue with a wmv file that contains multi-channel audio. The wmv container has a wmv video file and a wma audio file that I combined using media stream editor. I had no issues playing the same file under Vista, however now the files will not start.

My xbox 360 shows the shared video, and even displays the first frame in the icon, but it won't start the video. It loads, then never plays.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
