    Can't create an ad-hoc network.

I have used connectify to share my wired internet connection for my ipod touch for some months now. But suddenly a few days back, my ipod couldn't find the network anymore.

I reinstalled connectify and even reinstalled the whole ios in my ipod but still it couldn't find the network. When I went to the Intel site for my wifi driver, it gave me an update which I installed but no change. Now I tried creating the ad hoc connection manually and it always says that Windows couldn't set up the network. WLan AutoConfig service is enabled and automatic.

My wireless connection shows not connected even when the switch is on.

Solved the problem. It was rather silly. One of my friends was playing with my laptop a few days back and it seems to me that he disabled my wifi by pressing the function key and the wifi icon key (F4 in my case). But since I don't have a separate light for wifi (my bluetooth/wifi has the same switch and the same light), I thought that my wifi is on. Even I don't have a software installed which displays the icons for the function keys as my laptop came with XP, and now I use Windows 7. So I had no chance of knowing that my wifi is disabled. Anyways, the problem is solved and that's what matters!
