    Cant Get Into Router Settings

I need to get into my router settings page to change my WiFi password but I cant get into my 192.168.1.1 page. I've tried every password possible (admin, admin) or just admin for the password. They told me to reset the router by holding the reset for 30 sec and that didnt work either. I have a linksys WRT54G router. Is there any way around this or a place where I can download the software? All that is on the linksys site are firmware updates. =/

All lynksys router defaults are: un: admin pw: admin (all lower case)

If you can't access via un/pw you'll have to do a hard reset on the router.
take a paper clip and hold the reset button for about 40 seconds -- if that still doesn't work
call support, they'll walk you through it

Seems like the procedure in the link below should work "with any luck".
How to Reset the Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router

Sometimes it helps to hold the button down, unplug the router while still holding it down for another 30 seconds then plug the router back in and continue holding the button down for another 30-40 seconds. The reset just sets the router back to factory defaults.

I did the hard reset already, for about 60 seconds just to be sure lol but I called support and they helped me for a bit then tried to charge me.

What exactly does the hard reset do? And does anybody happen to have the installation CD they can zip up and E-mail to me?

enter . then press enter again and it should come up to reset your password.

You should not need the CD. If you access the router with 192.168.1.1., the user name on the reset router (at least on a Netgear) is usually "admin" and the password is "password" (not very innovative). From there you can make the few settings that are required.

PS: I guess I was too late - LOL
