No internet access in Windows 7 Ultimate

Hey all, I'm new to the forum and am having some trouble connecting to the internet with Windows 7.

I just upgraded from Vista and loaded a fresh copy of 7 on my PC, and have yet to gain internet access. I've made sure the drivers for my wireless network adapter as well as the utility that came with my router are up-to-date.

So here's my specific situation. At first, it would not connect to my network at all, but then I tried using the secure connect feature on my router and it allowed me to connect to the network but without internet access. When I am connected, it does not display my network's name, but instead "Unidentified Network" and "No Internet Access". I've tried resetting the router several times, upgrading it's firmware, re-installing my network adapter's drivers (it's an Mvix nubbin 802.11n), adding the network with setting directly from my router, disabling IPv6, as well as other common suggestions with no luck. My girlfriends laptop (also running windows 7) is able to connect with no problem, as well as my Vista laptop, and my roomate's XP laptop. It is getting very frustrating and I would really like to get this solved soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
