    Laptop and Wii

I just bought my g.f. a wii for christmas (shhhhh) but I have stumbled upon a problem. Her dorm doesnt have wifi (wtf?). It gets worse her and her roommate use both ethernet jacks for their laptops. I put netflix on the wii so I need an internet connection but for an ethernet adapter and a hub its going to be around 25-30 more dollars. I could get a 10 dollar wifi router but I cant guarantee it will be stable my g.f. isnt the most computer inclined. So is there a free way to let the wii's wifi connect to my g.f laptop wirelessly? If so I can always test it on my connection... Even though my internets twice as fast as hers. The point is I want to take the cheap route (being a college student myself). Thanks!

Not knowing Wii, I'm not sure if creating a wireless Ad Hoc network between your girlfriend's laptop and Wii would work. You could try to use the laptop as a wireless hot spot. Check this out: Make your laptop a hot spot.

    Wii LAN adapter.
Nintendo: Online Store - Product Detail

There are after market versions for about $10-15.

Yeah i know that and I would need a hub since both ethernet ports are already taken. I have stated that I was looking for a way for my wii and laptop to share.

It would be so much easier if my g.f. laptop had built in hotspots like mine....
