Limit to wireless connections on a network?

Is there a limit to the number of connections you can have on a network? I have a laptop that only connects while using an ethernet cord. This has happened with a previous laptop and i never got that laptop to connect without using an ethernet chord. I have an actiontec router MI424WR.

Yes there is but it is not your problem. The finite number of concurrent connections is at least 10.

Wireless Network Connections
I'm about to display my ignorance, so try not to be too harsh in replying. I have two computers, one running Windows 7 64 Ultimate, and one running Windows XP SP3. I also have a Netgear WNDR3300 Wireless Router. It is connected to the Windows 7 system by cable to the network adapter. On the...

Can I limit outgoing connections?
Or perhaps limit the outgoing connection speed? I don't really want to limit both incoming and outgoing as Incoming is never a problem for me. Is there a way to put a speed limit or to not allow quite as many connections going out of my system (or router)? Thanks a lot in advance.

Half-Open TCP Connections Limit
Older versions of Windows, including Windows XP and Windows Vista included a half-open TCP connection limit of 10, which usually required a patch to bypass. I've heard that Vista SP2 and Windows 7 does no impose this limit. Is this true? A client wants to build a network of 30 odd computers, but...

Do not want both wireless and wired network connections
Currently, I am connecting both wirelessly and through wire to my router when I run Windows 7. I know both are configured but is there a way to make the wireless (for instance) connect only if the wired connection isn't there? ipconfig shows two IPs and it seems like a waste of power to keep...

Wireless Network Connections Dissappear.
I have a problem where if I shut my laptop for a period of time (hibernating?) and come back, Windows 7 sees no networks where there are typically 4 or 5 in my neighborhood that are always up and running. I Need to shut down and restart and sees all networks immediately. I have tried the...
