Remote Desktop - Local Resources Not Working

Hi everyone -
I apologize if this has been addressed; I did a search, and couldn't find an answer that worked.

I am attempting to connect two computer via Remote Desktop. Both are running Windows 7 Professional, and they are not on the same network so this is going over the internet.

Although I have all of the appropriate boxes checked in the Remote Desktop's options, I am unable to get my local resources to become available on the remote machine. I cannot see the local drives, access the local printers, or share items with the clipboard.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these to work?

Thanks!
Ivan

I use TeamViewer to access my work computers from home. Able to access computers & printers on the network.

Thanks for the tip, but I cannot use any extra software. The local machine is my office computer, and I do not have the rights to install programs.
