http download via accelerator (internet download manager) or built in manager in both firefox or IE makes me unable to browse the internet! i always get "server not found"
what's causing it to choke my connection? do i have a connection limit or something, i heard it's disabled by default in windows seven!

when you download something, you are using bandwith, and if all of the bandwith is being used then that creates a bottleneck if you Internet connection is not fast enough.

Whatever your current ISP-advertised bandwidth, what you have available is just that.
It matters not how you divide it- whether it be with so-called download accelerators or not.
If you are downloading a file, expect it to slow down browsing speed.
With some DL accelerators, you are able to 'throttle' the speeds to lighten the load so your browsing experience won't be so highly compensated.
That depends entirely upon the DL accelerator you are using.
Bottom line? You have X amount of bandwith. Divide it to suit your needs at the moment.
no no, it didn't use to be like that, i even download at full speed with well configured utorrent, and i can browse fine, yes it takes some time to load but it never keeps timing out like that, i called my ISP they told me its a DNS issue i should manually type their DNS numbers, which i already have tried, it's really annoying, specially that i have another 2 PC's on the same network (ADSL router) and i can't figure out what's causing this!
this issue is very similar when utorrent settings is maxed out, it throttles the connection, except it does this with HTTP downloading not with torrents, so can i modify connection limit on my router or the other two pc's? (running win xp sp3) i have a TP-Link TD-8840 ADSL2 router with latest firmware
