    Wireless connection drops intermittently

I have recently installed windows 7 and am frustrated with the Wireless connection drop outs . i have run the troubleshooting wizard and it fixed the problem some times. I am attaching the diagnostic log for ur information.

I am using Planex Wireless adapter and a Buffalo Nfinity wireless n-router and connecting to Tenkayala_G access point. I have no issues what so ever with Windows xp and vista.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

In my case I have noticed (looking on the characteristics of wifi signal) that my wifi PCMIA card is not stable in Win 7 (working without any problems in XP). The wifi signal has been changing from 50 to 10 % and the connection was broken from time to time, particularly during downloads. I have installed few different drivers - no progress. I have changed a card to USB wifi card and it is OK. I was expecting the source of problems in my router but it looks OK and new card solved the issue.
Use any software to analize the strange and stability of wifi signal - mayby it is the case.

I am having the same problem with my laptop (sony, win 7, atheros9287 wireless, marvell yukon 88E8057 pci-e gigabit). After trying for countless hours on my own and even more with sony, I've come to the conclusion it must be win 7. Because I have 2 comp. on xp, 2 on vista, xbox, wii & tivo all are running flawlessly. I am using linksys routers wrt54gl, on dd-wrt I know this is an old thread, but I just started doing a little research and see I am not the only one. Please if anyone can help, this is driving me crazzzy, I have a brand new laptop that's severely crippled. thanks chris

Try disabling IPv6, seems to be causing a lot of problems although it is enabled on mine without any issues.

    Win7 wireless connection keeps dropping

My issue was that the battery on the cable modem was failing - it was constantly attempting to restart the modem. After a series of attempts to trouble shoot - I found I need to replace the battery or the entire modem.

I am having the same problem with a Asus k53 notebook, It seems to occure after hibernating or stand by. TRoubleshooter sometimes restarts the wireless adaptor.

When I shut down its seems ok. However I do not like to shut the computer down to often as it takes 2min to boot. I have the Athros adaptor also. Its very annoying. Have no prob with my xp computer which rules out the router.
