search...how to index homegroup library locations

So I have a media PC hosting my music and photos. I would like to be able to have the homegroup libraries on this machine indexed on my main home computer. However windows search does not give me an option of adding a homegroup/network share.

Offline files is not an option as I do not want duplicates.

Any idea what can be done?

    Thanks!

Microsoft in their wisdom did not allow people to use windows library functionaility beyond pre-school level. However, there is a tool to tweak registry settings to allow you to include network locations in libraries, including changing the default libraries to network locations. You can also do it manually, if you know which registry keys to tweak.

You do not have to index the network locations, nor do you have to enable offline files.

If I'm understanding your need correctly, you might find that GrimAdmin.com has a solution..
