Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit SP1

Open up the command prompt and type: netstat -b -o -n

It will tell you the current net usage of your computer at that moment along with the processes behind the usage. Windows 7 does install with a bunch of networking features running by default, so if you don't use features like, say Peer to Peer Group or Windows Media player Sharing, set them to manual in services area.

Like was suggested, you can also call up your ISP and ask them to do a line test for you.

Very slow internet in normal mode but fast in Safe mode
Hi, this is my first post on SevenForums. My internet speed is really slow. I'm lucky if I can reach 1Mbps when I start up Normally. However, when I start up in Safe Mode with Networking I can reach 12Mbps. The computer is fairly old (8/9 years old maybe) and I've only just upgraded from XP...

Windows 7 internet speed slow on wireless, but fast on wired
I have two Windows 7 Laptops that connect to a Motorola SURFboard eXtreme cable modem SB6121. Suddenlink (cable provider) recently upgraded our network which gives 50 MPS speeds or more. I can only get 50 MPS when I disable wireless on my laptop and connect with a direct cable. Otherwise I get 20...

Fast Internet, slow functioning computer.
My neighbor is with Time Warner Internet and his speed averages around 16 mbps. Yet, when he tries to open a webpage or click on links, seems to take a long time to open, like over 2 minutes at times. His computer is maintained using CCleaner, Registry cleaner, MalwareBytes, Auslogic Defrag...

Fast internet, slow download speeds
Hi there. So today my friend and I, who live in the same country, was downloading this file. It was around 6GB, which is irrelevant, but yea. It was from the same site, we have the same internet, yet he was downloading with 2.6MB/s while I was downloading with 1.338MB/s and it stayed like that...

Fast Internet, Slow Network
Hi all, Im in the process of building a test Win7 box, dumping as much software on it as possible to check compatibility... I had a iTunes x64 installer on a network share, which failed "Is not a valid win32 app." So I redownloaded it, 93.8MB in 15seconds. Thats roughly 4MB/s. Decent speed. It...
