    Trouble opening port

I can not open specific ports in windows 7. I have opened the ports i need in my router. I have tried shutting win 7's firewall off. Nothing seems to work.
I must be missing something, any help would be appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to do. What is the port number and what are you using it for.....

Also, can we have your Router's Make Model and Version number....

Linksys WRT54G I have bypassed this router completely, same result. I have tried from other locations, again connected directly to the modem, same result.

    Port # 3784 for Ventrilo

    Port # 6346 for p2p

Are you sure you don't have any secondary firewall installed on the computer....

    lets try this...

    Open Port Check Tool

    test those particular ports...

also, if you could.. can you make a screen shot of your ALT + CTRL + DEL Services TAB

I have not installed any secondary firewall. Furthermore, I have used PFPortchecker on my laptop and desktop with the same result.

Something is very Odd about your services...

It looks like there are a lot of services that are in something called "LocalServiceNetworkRestricted"

That may be something to work off there....

I found this.. You may have to force your account to become unlocked.

Permissions - Allow or Deny Users and Groups
