MSG Service

Hey guys,

I'm trying to setup a network in my house so that I can msg (aka net send) everyone in my house. However the trouble I'm having right now is that not every computer is getting the message - if not all computers.

Every computer in my house is on the same workgroup and every computer except one has Windows 7 Professional or higher.

One computer in my house has Windows 7 Home Premium but this will soon be updated.

When I type:

msg * Example

That message will only be displayed on MY computer. Hopefully you guys can help me figure out what else I need to do.

Every computer is on the same network, connected either on WiFi or via Ethernet.

Thanks!

You will also need to change a setting on the receiving computer by using regedit:

Change the following registry key:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
Name : AllowRemoteRPC
Type : REG_DWORD
Value : 1 (the dafault is ‘0′)

Thanks for your reply however this didn't work. I read somewhere that the functionality has actually been taken out for contacting other computers on the network.
