    Network Help

I am not very savey on networking but I was able to set up a network and connect a wireless router that was working fine until my 16 year old son got his lap top. When we set it up and after working for a month he began messing with the network and the router so that now his computer is the hub, we can't access the router through the 192.168.2.1 and nothing that was using the wireless can get online now. We have a Belkin N150 wirless router. I am able to use the wired connection on what use to be the main computer of the network but that is all. If I were to buy a new router and set up the network again will his fix my problems?

Most likely you only need to "reset" your router in order to fix the problem. There should a small hole on the side of the router, you can depress a button that resides in the small hole for approx 30 seconds to a minute which should reset the router. At that point you should be able to access the routers control panel again so you can set up the new network.

may I also suggest that you change the admin logon and password once you're back in and don't give it to your son...
