Annoying Connection Problem Help!

Hey. I really need some advice here guys. Lately my firefox has started to load extremely slow. About 50% of the time it will just go "connecting to" in the bottom left corner and nothing is happening, so I have to refresh until it reacts, which is very annoying. Even then it has problems with loading all the objects on a site, it's like a big timeout all the time. What is weird is that when it first connects, it's super fast. My downloads are just as fast as they were (1.7 mb down) but it's almost impossible to browse any sites with this terrible loading.

I have rebooted and plugged out my router countless times and still the problem persists. I am wondering if this is a browser problem, but explorer also seems to be slow at loading sites now. This got me thinking about the router being the problem. So I have messed around trying some different setups in the router config but still the same.

Now I have no idea what this is, but I can barely load pages in any browser, and still my download speeds are the same as before. Any help appreciated!

can be networking, driver, browser, anti virus, firewall, etc.

what does it say in event viewer?

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.

I don't find any errors at all in the last days that's related to my problem. Been looking through everything in the event viewer.

I don't have any anti-virus running these days. I just scan my computer on a weekly basis.
Scanned now, found nothing of interest, only the usual cookies.

What nags me, is that the downloads are just as fast, it's like the network can't connect for some reason, you have to refresh multiple times for it to react, I just waited today to see how long it took to connect, everytime it just times out after a minute or so, so you HAVE to refresh, god how annoying.

I don't think it's the browser and scan is clean. It doesn't seem to be the router either. I tried without having the firewalls up, still the same. It just seems so weird that it suddenly gets like this. Maybe it's the driver?
