    Accessing network drives


    I have windows 7 pro on two computers, how do I access complete network drives without sharing individual folders and and using passwords, I hate using passwords, and I don't have anything on my computers worth protecting, I wish windows 7 would just let me turn off all that security crap. I never had a problem with XP. Thanks

    Thanks for the tip, but it's still not working, I keep getting asked for a password, but I don't have any passwords set up on either machine, windows 7 networking is crap in my opinion.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but if I attempt to open a drive in Windows Explorer, it takes a really long time (sometimes several minutes). It takes that long for the progress bar on the address bar to fill up. Does anyone know why this would be?

Hi everyone, I have connected the laptop and a desktop using a lan cable. Both the system are on Windows 7. I shared a drive each on laptop and the desktop. But when i try to access the drive from laptop to desktop (or vice versa) it gives the error (check screenshot for the error message)...
