Windows 7: Remote shutdown problems...

Remote shutdown problems...

I am learning how to use cmd and its many commands, but when i do

Shutdown /i it takes me to the remote shutdown dialog and when i click browse it gives me the error "The Active domain services is currently unavailable"

Also i cant create a common folder either and can connect printers wirelessly...

Help please

Type shutdown /? which will give you the different options.

of course you must be in the cmd prompt.

yeh, i know that but when i try to do remote shutdown with the command shutdown /i it takes me to a remote shutdown dialog windows and when i do browse it gives me the error "active directory service is currently unavailable"

From the looks of your situation, it may be as simple as a connection problem. Are you using a wireless network?

When I shutdown my remote computer I just open up a dos box and type shutdown /s

That only shuts down the local computer, SkyperX, on the other hand is looking to shut down a remote computer, so he most likely has to use the /m switch along with /s.

Uninstall your current printer then try the shutdown -i command again.
