Windows 7: Loss of user on network

Loss of user on network

I have Windows XP Pro on computer which is connected to the wireless router directly(wifes). I have a new PC with Win 7 upstairs(mine). Have two problems I can't seem to fix

When I click on network on my PC I sometimes see my wifes PC listed other times I do not. When I do see it I can see the three printers hooked to her PC. The new one is a HP CP2025. When I click connect it says there is no driver. I went out and got the drivers but when I try to install them on my PC they do not seem to install. Maybe fixing the first problem will help me with the second. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks
