Hello everyone, I hope you can help me solve this problem:
You'll see, when I send a picture file from my android cellphone, it automatically gets transferred to "My Pictures", although I have specified the BT destination to a different folder. If I try to send any other file type, it gets sent to the destination I specified. Is there any way to prevent image files from being sent to "My Pictures"?

The trouble isn't caused by the android device. It's Windows 7 that somehow decides that the picture files should go to the "My Pictures" folder, ignoring completely that I have defined another folder for Bluetooth transfers.
However, if I send any other file (such as an .APK, text file, anything save for .jpg files) Windows sends it to the Bluetooth transfer folder. Why does this happen? Is there any way to change this behavior? I know that my phone has nothing to do with this, because it worked perfectly before formatting my laptop. I did so yesterday and after reinstalling Windows 7, it started acting this way.
I haven't used Bluetooth for 2 years and I can't remember of anything... So wait for others to answer you.
The problem is with bluetooth. The source makes the decision where the destination is. In other words your phone. Most version installed on phones are very basic with little or no flexability.
You may find alternative bluetooth apps have more options. EG Toshiba, Bluesoleil.
The better way is use USB cable instead. Just choose disk drive from the phone when you plug in the USB cable. Most transferring can be done withing Windows Explorer. Much easier, less frustrating and a lot faster.
Keep Bluetooth for pairing with other phones or those silly ear pieces.. After all that's what is was designed for.
