Unable to install shared printer

Hi

I have shared a printer on Windows 7 and in the security tab I gave "Everyone" access rights. I still get the error message - I keep getting the error message “Windows cannot connect to the printer………”.
I was able to shared directories and able to access them without any problems. It's the darn printer that I can't connect.
It's part of my assignment to test the printer to see if I can install the driver via point and print to a shared printer on Windows 7. Someone told me it's a Windows 7 security issue.
On both another Windows XP and another Windows 7 PC able to to connect to a second Windows 7 PC and see the printer, but it won't let me connect to it. Any ideas how to resolve it.
Is it because one pc is on a domain while the other is in a workgroup? If so why am I able to access shared folder, but cannot connect to a shared printer.

Thanks

Thanks Alfredo1 checked on the link so far none are it.
By the way here's the environment my Windows 7 is connected to the printer via IP address (10.11.101.11) and the Windows 7 pc is (10.11.144.90) and then I shared it. For permissions in the security tab I selected that everyone will have rights to it.
From another PC Windows XP I typed in 10.11.144.90 and I can see shared folders and the printer. Able to view insided shared folder, but when I right-click the shared printer to connect it would give me the error message Windows cannot connect to the printer………”.
Someone from my networking group believes it's a permission issue, which I agree, that's why I told them I gave permissions to everyone. He also doesn't know why Windows 7 would behave that way.

Hi dlee4000, I have to admit I'm at a loss for idea's although permission problems could very well be the issue. Even though you have given all users permission, I would still try doing this as Administrator. If that still doesn't work, I'm thinking you've probably already tried it, then be patient and someone else will probably post with a different suggestion. In the mean time, try using Search either at the very top of the page or in my signature and you may find something on this topic. Good Luck
