You can try this:
inSSIDer | MetaGeek

and go in the Device Manager to locate your card, then properties. It will tells you how it handle.

Hi Non.

Thanks for your insterest.

I've already had that tool, however it doesn't tell me which band my pc is using..

update: i think it does, but how can i use the 5Ghz one?

I think i found the answer:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread....7729&#11967729

BTW i conclude that the 5ghz band is almost useless! i shouldn't have spent money in that kind of router.

However my signal is still fluctuating between 3 and 4 bars i can reach 5 and stabilize the thing.

I think you'll have to enable it in device manager...properties of your card.

The Soft does tells you...if you go in the 2,4GHz Channels tab and it shows graph, or in the 5GHz channels tab but no graph, then you'll know it.

But those are the routers not the pc's adapters.

Now i have this issue: my signal is still fluctuating between 3 and 4 bars i can't reach 5 and stabilize the thing.

No, not routers. It reflect the Pc card aswell (only the mac adress from router appear!). For the bars, you might encountering some slight drop-out connection.

It shows only routers mac adress...you'll have to dig in the device manager to find if your card is able to 5GHz
