Network Shortcuts disappearing

Hi guys,

One of the staff members here is having problems with network shortcut icons disappearing at random. This is what appears to happen;

User creates shortcut of network drive and copies it to her desktop. This can be accessed through Office and other programs and the link can be seen on the desktop. After a time the links vanish, even when the machine is on and not rebooted or logged.
Any ideas of a fix?
I have run sfc /scannow and have not found any issues.

Thanks,

Sean

So far so good, haven't had the icons disappear. I'll give it another day before I believe it's fixed the issue.
