Help. I loose browser conection after restart.

Ih everyone! I´m a newby here and i came by after i found that my computer stoped geting access to web browsing, only afects the browser (firefox, iexp), but every other aplication thet needs network, they go fine. I saw here a solucion by running cmd and make winsock reset, it worked well, but just until i restart the machine then have to winsock reset again.

Any ideia? I recently instaled sp1 for win7, i did restart the computer a lot that day and never had this issue. Router? Avast 6? im kind of lost.

Any help would be great, and thanks you.

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

    You could try the following...

1, Open Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Settings
2, Under the 'Connections' tab click 'Lan Settings'
3, If 'Use a proxy server for your LAN...' is checked then uncheck it and click OK then OK again and try your browsers.

I have heard that Avast can cause this issue. Try disabling realtime protection for just a few moments while you try to access a SAFE site.

That's good news, at least we know what the root cause it.

Are you using a free version (unregistered)? If so you may want to look into installing Microsoft Security Essentials

Also you may want to look Here

    Issue

I have installed avast! and I can no longer browse the Web. How can I solve this?
    Solution

Check your firewall configuration. For the correct operation the Web Shield process (ashWebSv.exe or aswWebSv.exe) needs a permission to access the Internet on TCP port 80 and a permission to act as a server and accept incoming connections from localhost (the local machine) on TCP port 12080.
