    Win7 no internet

Went to bed last night and everything was fine. Woke up this morning and now my Win 7 machine can't connect to the internet. I checked for possible updates that might have happened last night, saw that there was 3 and tried uninstalling them. That didn't work, still no connectivity. My WinXP and PS3 connect fine so I think it has to be a problem with Win7. Help...any ideas?

    Hello,
Try right clicking on the Network icon and running the troubleshooter.

Just tried and message says troubleshooter couldn't identify the problem.

In the network and sharing center it is showing "unknown - the dependency service or group failed to start".

Have you tried to run ipconfig in a command prompt. Try ipconfig /release then renew. Try link for instructins.

I've pretty much narrowed this down to a problem with Win7 now. I have 2 other computers and a PS3 all with wired connections to a D-Link 8 port switch and they all work fine. It is only the PC with Win7 that is having the problem and it just started after the last windows update. I connected another PC with WinXP to the same ethernet cable and the connection worked fine. I'm currently backing up all my info in case I have to format and reinstall but would really like some ideas to fix this problem. In the event viewer there are a lot of 7000, 7001 and 7009 errors for the following services -> network store interface service, diagnostic service host service, network list service, network location awareness service, winhttp web proxy auto-discovery service, dhcp client service. I have been searching google for possible fixes but have not found anything yet. Suggestions anyone?
