My notebook cannot connect to network

Hello, everyone. I have plugged in my network cables, there is still a red cross on my network connection. I have tried the following:
    1) change the cable
    2) reinstall the network driver

    LAN and wireless cannot work.

Then, I go into Administrative Tools-> Services.
I found that the Service "Network Location Awareness" is missing, I think this causes the problem.
I want to ask, how can I add back this service to Services?
    Thank you very much.

You could try leaving your cables connected and try a repair install. See this tutorial if you are not sure how:-https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

My point was that if there is any files missing or damaged a "repair install" from your DVD would fix it. If you just try to "system restore" you may have restore a faulty copy.
