homegroup sharing problem

i have desktop with windows 7 ultimate and a laptop with windows 7 professional.
i connect them using homegroup via LAN cable. no problem up to this part. they connect easily.

now the problem is i am able to see, modify, control all the files or folders i want that are on my desktop from my laptop. But i am not able to open shared folders that are on my laptop while using my desktop. i have tried everything. did all that can be done in advance sharing settings even give full control permissions to everyone connected to my desktop. yet the problem persists. i had to do all the work from my laptop.

please help.
