Security Certificate Problem ++

Brand new PC with Windows 7/32 pro SP1 on with following spec (Gigabute motherboard h55m-usb3, Intel I5 750 3.6 GHz cpu; 4gb Crucial RAM; Samsung 500GB Hdd; Samsung S223 DVDrw; OCZ 600w psu; Silverstone FP34 card reader. AVG 2011 free AV. BT ISP, connected bia ethernet cable to Netgear router. No probelms installing Windows, and installing Adobe, AVG, and Win 7 SP1 initially

Date on PC is correct, netgear time is 8 mins slower.

Trying to download things like Itunes we get a message regarding Invalid Security Certificate, we also get problems with the internet connection whiuch we can overcome by rebooting the router, however other PCs (connecting wirelessly) do not have internet loss.

I have read other threads on this site with similar problems, but can't see anyone posting a solution.

Any ideas?

To be honest it is probably worth trying, but as I have several win 7 PCs with AVG without this problem, it shouldn't be the cause. But never say never, so will give it a try.

I will also search the AVG forums to see if there is any reports there.

Checked AVG: Only reports of any certification issue was on version 10.0.1100 series this was fixed in version 1200 which is the one this PC has always been on - only other issue was with the date (which we all know about).

Anyway we did uninstall AVG but makes no difference.

Any other ideas? Please?

Have done some more research and it appears that the problem is caused with the current network settings, set as public.

I am closing this post and reopening a new one as there appears to be issues with reseting the network back to factory settings.
