Windows 7 Windows XP network problem

I have windows 7 and windows XP professional setup for home networking. From Windows XP I can use the printer and certain documents from Windows 7. On Windows 7 computer I can see the Windows XP computer. When I attempt to access documents from the window 7 computer get the following. Windows cannot access\\computer name. Check spelling and Windows name, otherwise there might be a problem with network. Try to identify and resolve network problems. Windows network diagnostics, "could not identify the problem"
When I type in the IP address for the Windows XP on the Windows 7 computer in the search programs and files and press enter get the following,.//IP address, my documents is not accessible, you might not have permission to access. Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
    Thank you

Welcome to Sevenforums Bregitta. A good place to start is to search for previous posts of a similar problem. Also there are some really great tutorials here that you can also search for. This one may solve your problem for you:-
