Router question
Right now I'm connected through the internet using my AT&T DVR in my room, the main AT&T router is located in my downstairs and my DVR is connected to it, I plug my ethernet cord into the DVR and to my PC so I'm directly connected. I want to connect my xbox 360 to this same connection so that I don't have to connect it via wireless (lags me)
here's my question, is there a way for me to split this connection between from my DVR to my PC & xbox 360? here is what I tried, if theres a way to make this work let me know
I have 1 cable going from DVR --> WRT54G router port labeled internet
Port 2 on the WRT54G is plugged into my PC
Port 3 on the WRT54G is plugged into the xbox 360
using this method I don't actually get internet on my PC, it does not connect or detect it at all
is there a way to make this method work?
